Cecilia Pettersson is a freelance designer/artist living and working in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has a master degree in design, (graduated from HDK, Gothenburg university of arts and craft 2009) and she is specialized in print and pattern.

Cecilias work often start with a drawing or a painting by hand. Things that grow, structures and nature is common motifs and lots of details are often seen in the final artwork.

Most of the time drawing and painting by hand is the starting point for the work. Then the work gets digitalized to fit the clients need.

Cecilia concider herself to be a multidiciplinary designer, she works with product design, surfacedesign, illustration and graphic design.

As an artist Cecilia is more specific in her work. The drawings are often inspired by nature and it´s power to grow, the details and the rythm.

Cecilia morks with swedish and international brands, like: IKEA, Anthropologie, Bonniers, Lagom design, Spira of sweden, Fine Little day, House of Rym, Ferm living, Joann, Växtverket and more.

I work mainly with Copic markers and with gouache, My favourite paper is Canson illustration.

When I work digital it´s mostly in procreate (ipad) or in adobe photoshop. But i teach illustrator so I would say that I know my way around there aswell.
